AMRITANI -THERAPY
COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY

“The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for.”
– Fyodor Dostoyevsky
About me
My name is Katarzyna (aka Amritani) Zuchniewicz, and I am a qualified Psychosynthesis Counsellor with a background in psychology, psychotherapy and Yoga philosophy. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association for Professional Therapists and Practitioners (APTP). As such, I am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure.
My private practice is currently based in Mojácar, Spain, but I am collaborating with English organizations that provide mental health support globally. My professional experience in the helping field began in 2008, inspired by the guidance of my first great Yoga teacher. During a very challenging time in my life, my teacher introduced me to Yoga meditation practices, which had a profound impact on me. This inspired me to give back to the community, and I started working with vulnerable individuals. Since then, I have continued both this type of work and my Yoga practice, while simultaneously developing myself educationally, personally and professionally.
I began providing counselling and psychotherapy services in 2019 and quickly realised that I had found my true calling. Throughout my professional life, I have worked in various roles and have been influenced by a range of approaches, including integrative, Person-Centred, transpersonal, humanistic, CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, as well as Yoga and art therapy. I draw from these modalities in my practice to meet the unique needs of each client. I have worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, various forms of abuse, addictions, trauma, low self-esteem, lack of sense of self, poor coping skills, emotional dysregulation, loss, crime-related issues, cognitive impairment, stress, relationship difficulties, identity crises, existential dilemmas, and the search for deeper values and meaning, including those of a spiritual nature.
Apart from my therapeutic practice, I also provide massage therapy and am developing as an artist. I have a deep passion for creativity, nature, and outdoor sports.
